Skyler Sanders

Debbie Wilson contacted me right after my radio interview on the 21st and told me about her nephews son Skyler. Skyler has an inoperable malignant brain tumor (Brain Stem Gliomas). The Doctors have told them that it is one of the worst one's that you can have and it is a very rare form. Skyler is currently at St. Judes in Memphis starting treatments.

Skyler just turned 6 years old this past March! Skyler's whole family is taking this pretty hard considering that this is the first time anything like this has happened in all of the families except in the older generations. Skyler is on Steroid's right now to help with the swelling. Skyler has a younger sister, 3 1/2. Skyler will be going into 1st grade in Hollister this year.

St. Judes pays for one parent to come to St. Judes to stay with Skyler. Skyler's mother works for Dr. Givens and has taken off a month from work so the family will be on a tight budget. Skyler's dad is Ryan Sanders the son of Dale Sanders of American Family Insurance.

The family has set up a website that will keep everyone informed on what is happening.

A benefit account has been set up at Branson Bank in Forsyth and Branson.

I would like the next few cruz-ins and our Rally to be set up to help the Sanders Family. I am also getting some donation jars and will be getting them set up so we can disburse them around the area. If you want to help please call me or email me and we can see what more we can do.

Anthony is from Wichita KS and wants to start a chapter there. He currently has a few projects going.

Jennifer Jurewicz

Jennifer is a friend of mine that I met through Phil. Jen is the proud owner of a 1971 Camaro RS. Jen purchased the car about a month ago from a guy in Florida who was in the process of turning it into a "Jungle" Jim Leiberman tribute car. It is tubbed with 18" wide Mickey Thompson Sportsman underneath. A 350 with a mild cam, zoomie pipes (not working), roll cage, and a parachute pack (no chute). The car is currently in gray primer but Jen has a few pretty cool ideas for it. The body does need some work and she does plan on doing some engine work so she can use our help. Eddie Farmer

Eddie lives in Ozark and is the proud owner of a 1963 Chevy II with a SBC 350 under an 8:71 blower backed up by a 350 turbo with a 3000 stall. Looks pretty wicked, check out Eddie's page here.

Mickey's Cruz-in

I wish Mickey's second as well as the third cruz-in was as good as the first.

I spoke with Mickey and we discussed giving out a couple of trophy's at the cruz-in and he agreed wholeheartedly.

So we will start presenting 2 trophy's at the cruz-in's, one will be a Mickey's choice and the other will be a Street Shaker's Choice.

We will start handing out the trophy's at the August 23rd Cruz-in.

Forsyth Chamber of Commerce

I personally want to thank the Chamber of Commerce on the $200 donation that they gave our club. This donation is really important considering we have a couple of major events that we are hosting coming up. I want to also thank Billy B for getting the Chamber to do this as well as Donna his wife and Peter the President of the Chamber

I don't want to Race!

I have to clarify something with perspective new members. I have been told on a couple of occasions that the reason they weren't going to join the club was because they weren't into racing and didn't want to race their car.

NO PROBLEMS!

You have to remember something, only a FEW of us are really into racing on the strip!!! We are mostly about the CARS!. We love to drive them, fix them, show them and yes, even race them. But you don't have to race your car if you don't want to, I promise we won't force you into it. We are all more into being friends and hanging around with you and talking about you and your car.
